NanoPing started life as Steinwurf, a research-driven company founded in 2011 to explore the frontiers of network coding and error correction. In 2025, we changed our name to NanoPing to reflect a new direction: turning deep research into usable products for real-world teams like yours.
The new name marks more than a rebrand - it's a shift in mindset. We're focused on making powerful technology accessible, practical, and relevant to developers, engineers, and product teams solving real problems today. The company is led by a seasoned team with a strong track record in deep tech and product execution. Day-to-day operations are overseen by CEO, Mikkel Robin Nielsen, with Morten V. Pedersen as CTO. Both bring hands-on leadership and deep domain expertise. The board of directors is chaired by Giustino de Sanctis, one of the company's majority owners, ensuring strategic alignment between ownership, operations, and long-term vision.
